Joan Curtis has been teaching music for over 25years and her passion for very young children moved her focus to Kindermusik early childhood music and movement program. She is classically trained pianist and has been sharing her passion for Kindermusik program at Montessori Children’s Garden, KLA Schools of Plainfield and KLA-Naperville (Reggio-inspired ECE), PM Music Center, various Village Park District location and Smartsteps Aurora-an Illinois nonprofit organization.

Joan brings her love for music to Diamante and our children by offering several levels of the Kindermusik curriculum. From our young two-year olds to elementary students, children clap, dance and sing to the many rhythms of music. Music Education is more than just learning about beats and rhythms, it is designed to nurture multiple areas of a child’s development and tap into a variety of individual learning styles. Her deep interest in Montessori education spark another passion in her to work alongside Diamante Montessori Lead Teachers as assistant in the preprimary classroom. We are excited to be working with Joan and her many years of experience she brings to the music and as classroom assistant at Diamante.
