The purpose of practical life activities is to develop control of movement and concentration. The real joy comes when a student carries on these activities at home. Here is one of our students polishing his mom’s silver jewelry.
From his mother: “Just thought I’d send a photo of my son tonight. Yesterday I found several pieces of silver jewelry that were tarnished so decided to put your silver polish work to good use! Both boys were excited to help (although my tools were slightly different than school but they rolled with it). They were good helpers! Thanks for instilling a fascination & interest in all sorts of things!”
