About Diamante Montessori

Diamante Montessori School is an AMS affiliated Montessori preschool located in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and serving Lombard, Wheaton, Lisle and the surrounding community. The school was formed in 2002 as a nonprofit organization with the goal of providing the best possible education to our children.  Our hope is that Diamante will continue to grow and be at the forefront of preschool education and give parents a high-quality option for preschool education.

About Our Name

Diamante is Italian for diamond, which represents not only the high value of a good education but the value we have for our children. Every child is unique as every diamond is by cut, color and size, while both are resilient and contain a great potential to be brought out with the proper direction and refinement. A child’s educational and life experiences at an early age are as enduring as a diamond.

Montessori vs. Traditional Preschool

If you are not sure if Montessori is the right choice for you, here is some information that may be helpful in your decision making process.

You should first understand that Montessori is an educational method of teaching and that teachers must be certified in the Montessori method of teaching in order to be a true Montessori school.  Diamante is accredited with the American Montessori Society (AMS).  As you investigate schools, be sure to ask if the school is accredited.

Full Disclosure

Diamante Montessori School as a nonprofit school is required by the IRS to make its Federal Tax Form 990 available to the general public. If you wish to receive a copy of our tax form for the past fiscal year, please call us in the office and we will gladly supply you with a paper copy.
